This May, as part of the nationwide celebration of National Walking Month, Caffi Cyfle invites residents to enjoy a scenic local walk around nearby Knowle Hill, followed by a well-deserved visit to our café. We hope to encourage physical activity and enhance mental well-being, as well as appreciating our local environment.

National Waking Month highlights the many benefits of walking, encouraging people of all ages and abilities to engage in this simple yet powerful activity. Walking not only contributes to physical fitness but also helps to reduce stress, boost mood, and connect with nature and fellow walkers.

Knowle Hill lies on the east side of Buckley. There are public footpaths through the site, part of which includes the Buckley Heritage trail. The Buckley Heritage Trail starts from the Etna Park free car park off Globe Way in Buckley. This mixed urban and rural walk guides visitors along level, accessible pathways through the fascinating industrial history of the area.

The water-filled fireclay pits and lagoons created by this industrial activity now teem with life, a welcome haven for plants and animals alike, including the rare and protected Great Crested Newt.

After you scenic stroll, enjoying the views and tranquil atmosphere, refuel and unwind with a warm drink and bite to eat at Caffi Cyfle.
